Manga rocks!

Ok, I’ve now gone all crazy about manga. I mean, I’ve only been hooked on anime so far and also, it’s seems to be quite difficult to find translated mangas around. That is until now!

One manga which I’ve practically spent the ENTIRE day reading through is this one called “Emma” by Kaoru Mori. It’s a romance manga set in the late 19th century Victorian England about a girl named Emma and her romance with William. The problem is William is a member of the gentry while Emma is a maid and and the barriers of class and wealth stand between them. I’m so taken by the story and the wonderful setting it’s in. I highly recommend it.

It’s a really truly touching story and if you would like to read it, you can visit the IIchan Translation Group to download the torrents. Be sure to visit their discussion board and thank whispers for the great translations. They also have the torrent for the anime series which is based off the manga. The anime is only 12 episodes however and only covers the first two volumes of the manga. It also deviates from it slightly. As of now, there are currently six volumes in the manga with a seventh (and possibly final with things seeming a bit like it’s working up towards a finale) volume just started and still in progress.
