Back to the Future Plans
Shah wrote a small blurb about his working life and his social life or lack of it.
And reading all that stuff about settling down and all that, I realized that I too am running out of time. My daily life is roughly about the same as shah’s with 75% of the time spent working. I spend as much time as I can at home to avoid unneccesary spending. As I mentioned before, I’m really really broke all the time because I am trying to pay off a loan as quickly as possible. So I will just be sitting in front of the computer watching anime or various tv shows.
Of course, I do meet up with the usual suspects at Mak’s Place every saturday for our weekly chat. And sometimes I go to the outings organized by the ex-#medicine people, maybe once a month. Yes, that’s an IRC channel on Galaxynet. But you won’t find anyone there anymore though, it’s dead. But as you can probably see from the pattern, I’m not meeting any NEW people. Just the same old boring fantastic friends every time. Maybe I do need to be set up. That’s what Nic and Huishan told me once before.
Anyway, like Shah, I too would very much like to continue my studies and a likely choice for me to continue would be at the Hartford Institute Singapore. There’s a Bachelor of Multimedia Studies available as a part time distance learning course from the Central Queensland University Australia. I’ve blogged about it before and it actually does look more and more tempting because of the exemptions I can get as holder of the Diploma in Multimedia Software Engineering from SP. I can get direct entry into the final year of the course. A degree in one year sounds good to me.
And if I can somehow manage to get back into the multimedia line of work, I might consider going for the Master of Multimedia, also a part time distance learning course provided by the Hartford Institute Singapore from the University of Newcastle Australia.
Alas, all this costs money and to get it, I’m probably going to have to continue working at this rate or even harder. And still no social life. Oh man, this is turning into a “I’m a loser” post.
Happy thoughts! Happy thoughts! Payday is coming! YAY! ^.^
