Another great weekend
Ah, it was a great weekend. Really good. I’m such an anime freak. I just feel all warm inside when I watch anime. Anyway, this weekend, I spent most of the time watching Tenjou Tenge.
It’s kinda strange because it starts out with this bunch of lead characters which are featured prominently in the opening sequence and credits. But about 70% of the anime seems to be made up of this flashback which features a totally different set of characters. Weird. So by the time the flashback has finished telling the entire backstory as to why the current events are happening, it’s already the last episode and well, nothing really happens. There’s no ending/conclusion/resolution. It’s like it’s just starting. I wonder if there’s gonna be a second season.
So all the times which I wasn’t watching anime, I was out with friends! On Saturday, Farhan single-handedly organized a sort of farewell outing for our dear friend Raizan who will be going off to Canada. And the turnout was fantastic. I think there were 13 of us altogether eating our hearts out at Seoul Garden, Taka. The really weird thing is that we actually bumped into a couple of our secondary school mates who happened to be there as well. And it was really a fun outing, lots of laughs were shared (mainly from our cooking antics) and I’m glad because it’s going to be one of those memories that hopefully all of us will remember for years to come.
Sadly, I didn’t bring my clie along so no pictures yet, but Zhaki has his Canon A70 always handy and took some shots. Hopefully he’ll have some up on his blog or on the usdudes site soon enough.
UPDATE: Pictures are up at the UsDudes Site! Also, you can click the picture below to go to the flickr set for the outing.

On Sunday, helped Farhan’s uncle reformat his computer. Um.. nothing much of interest happened there, except perhaps the one and a half minute short that Farhan’s uncle made. He’s a prison warden and also dabbles in some video shooting and editing. He made this kinda cheesy short scene about a group of ER doctors and nurses trying to save a man’s life. It’s those kind of hospital emergency room scenes. But it did make Farhan and I think about what we would do if we could get our hands on a video camera. I really miss the days of Project Loser, an 11 minute short we made in poly for our Visual Effects Module. Which reminds me I have to put it up soon on the UsDudes page.
