Definitely need a better camera.
Man, the pictures taken with my clie are really quite bad… no detail at all. I mean look:
My clie takes pictures at 640×480 but when resized to 320×240, it looks quite alright… now this is what the picture looks like at it’s original resolution:
Egads! I can’t believe I just said ‘Egads!’, but that’s how bad it is! And it’s even worse in low light!! ARRGH!!! Anyway, I’ve been doing a little research for a new camera and the new Canon Powershot 510 seems ok. It’s 3.2MP camera which should take 2048×1536 resolution images. Good enough for me. Canon’s recommended retail price is S$399 which means I can hopefully get it in the shops for about S$370. And the good thing is I still have my annual leave money due to me. I didn’t take any annual leave the whole of last year so I get to cash it in! I should get about S$640. AWESOME!
I had originally been considering getting a digital video camera, the Panasonic GS75 to be exact. But that retails for about S$1K which is kinda tight for me right now and I guess the next best thing would be to get a regular digital camera. Can’t wait!
