I hate reality checks.

You know when you’re just going about your daily routine, taking the days as they go by, minding your own business - everything’s sorta in order. And then you bump into an old friend and all hell breaks loose. Well, ok not really. Hey, meeting long lost friends is really great and all. Especially pretty ones. But it always makes you think, “What the hell am I doing with my life?”. Because usually, said friend will tell you all the great and wonderful things he/she’s done with his/her life and their accomplishments usually outshine all yours. Then all those old sayings begin popping through your head…

‘Live everyday like it’s your last’
‘You only live once’
‘Live and let die’
‘Get a f*cking life, you lazy bastard’
ok, so the last one isn’t so much a saying as a … whatever the hell it is, you get the point.

But I suppose, if anything, the encounter has given me a jolt. or jump start of sorts. So I’ve made myself some mini goals I want to achieve by end of the month, and I’m gonna do my very best to accomplish just that.
