Boo! Muaahhahaah! Scared?
So happy halloween everyone. Not that it’s really celebrated here in Singapore or anything. No trick-or-treating and stuff. I imagine even it would be really boring too, going to everyone flat in your HDB block shouting trick-or-treat. And only a handful of flats will actually in the halloween mood or spirit and give these kids sweets. Well, the clubs and bars will be the most happy with all the halloween parties and stuff. It might be interesting to go to Orchard Road tonight and see all the weirdos in their halloween costumes.
Ok, in other news, I’m stilling waiting on my PR application. I get anxious just thinking about it. I applied for it on 17th August and now it’s almost the 3 month mark which is what they said the processing time for the application would be. Gosh I really hope I get it. Then I can finally switch jobs and move on to other things. Getting the PR status would be such a huge relief for me. I really would hate for it to be rejected. And then I’d have to stay at my current job with my employment pass and reapply again. And wait another 3 months. I don’t know if I could do it. I was planning on switching to maybe a part time job and in my free time, really concentrate hard on UsDudes.com.
During our usual get-together last night with the rest of the UsDudes, we again got to talking about the website and all the stuff that we wanted to put into it. I get really excited when we do get to talking and all the ideas start flying out. It’s great. But I always feel sad in the end because we really can’t get much done about it. Nevertheless, Farhan says he’ll be ORD-ing in June next year, so I’m hoping we really plough into the website when that happens.
One of the most anticipated games of the year has gone gold and it’s release date has been set for 17th of November. I am of course talking about Halflife 2. I pre-ordered the Halflife 2 collectors edition from Gameshop.com.sg for S$129.00. I’m also planning an upgrade for my computer prior to release. Just a Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 Pro for $398 and a TDK 16x DVD-Writer for $155. I had been considering doing a complete cpu and motherboard overhaul but eventually decided to save my money and just upgrade the necessities. My bank balance has been inflating quite nicely and I don’t want to let it all go down the drain.
