The beach is a nice place. When it’s not crowded.
Woo.. it’s Friday!! YEA!! that means it’s the weekend!! YEA!! I stalled the car again during my driving lesson just now… three times.. =(
But i think I know where i was going wrong just now… so hopefully, next lesson should be better. That will be on Tuesday at 2pm. I still can’t get used to traffic… i’m too nervous… bah… it’s only my second lesson i guess… i just hope i won’t be saying ‘It’s only my 43rd lesson what’… O_O
So I had lunchie with Wanting yesterday. hehe.. we went to Pizza Hut at Siglap.. It’s the first time i’ve gone to Siglap in MONTHS! and to the Pizza Hut in YEARS!! I went to my favourite haunt in the area which was Siglap Centre of course… those of you who know the place will know that there’s almost nothing there… but it’s.. i dunno.. kinda cozy? maybe that’s the wrong word to use, but i can’t think of anything else…
Anyway, i went to Photo Finish to get some passport sized photos.. those polaroid camera ones. Paid $6 for them and they absolutely SUCK!! Ok, first of all, i looked like i was pissed off about something. I admit, that’s my fault. But the colours were so dark.. My blue shirt looked BLACK! it wasn’t even a dark blue shirt!!.. haiz.. So i’m definitely not gonna use that for my resume. “What the hell is this guy so angry about? We definitely don’t want to hire angry people.”
When i met Wanting, we couldn’t decide where to eat. And since both of us are so bloody indecisive, we just entered what was closest to us. Pizza Hut! YAY! I really like this Pizza Hut. It’s not very crowded, the music isn’t too loud, the temperature is alright(sometimes a little cold), it’s rather quiet.. cozy even… So we ordered a meal for two.. which is really quite a lot! Two soups, two salads, 4 breadsticks, a regular pan pizza(6 slices) and 2 pepsi’s. All for $20. And students get a discount of $2 each (up to $4). So we ended up paying $18(i’m no longer a student, sadly). I think it was really worth it for the amount of food we had. We sat there and talked and ate for 2 whole hours!! It’s those kinda places where you don’t mind just sitting there, chatting and laughing…
After that, we walked all the way down to the beach. East coast that is. We passed by her school and bumped into a couple of her friends… one actually talked to her, one just laughed as we passed by and later on the phone said SHE was embarrassed. Others were on the other side of a fence and just waved.. i felt a little bit silly actually.. hmm..
Anyhoo… we sat on the breakwater and just relaxed.. looking at the sea. it was kinda cloudy.. and it was about 5pm i think… so it was rather nice and windy… It’s been a while since i’ve done that.. just sit on the breakwater and listen to the waves.. and smell the sea air… although it was kinda stale… we sat there for about an hour… talking a little… before heading home..
I have to say, it was one of the nicer days i’ve had in a long time… =)
